Aaahhh!
That, is a huge sigh of relief. My latest book has now been published.
Each book is something special and unique to its writer. To me it’s my child, who I want looking her best before she goes out; I don’t want any criticism of her, just for people to approve of her. And because i want them to enjoy the book I go over and over it, tweaking here and there, changing one word, sometimes a whole sentence, sometimes raising an eyebrow at what I’d written in the first place. She is also my employee. Each novel “works” for me in as much as she brings me an income. So, I hope that Sweet Lady will be as succesful and as thought-provoking as What’s Eating Me and Singles’ Holiday. It’s shorter than the previous two, (this is reflected in the price of both the paperback and the Kindle version) but contains a couple of twists that I hope my readers won’t see coming.
You can order your copy If you’re a kindle owner you can get it through this link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009YJTB3A Or if you prefer a good old-fashioned book then you can get it through this link: http://www.lulu.com/shop/elaine-spires/sweet-lady/paperback/product-20479317.html?mid=social_facebook_pubsharefb
It’s been hard to concentrate on the task of publishing this week as I’ve been in agony – no exaggeration! – with a trapped sciatic nerve. It was so bad that it caused me to cancel going to see my beloved Lionel Richie at the O2 on Sunday. It’s been easier since a visit to the chiropractor yesterday and I have another appointment on Thursday as I HAVE TO be okay for my flight to Antigua on Friday. The pain has reduced since the chiropractic treatment – on a scale of 1 to 10 it’s down from 9 to about 6, but, what was amazing was that last night I had the best night’s sleep in ages and ages. Please, keep your fingers crossed for me.
And, the Tribunal is now set for 21st December which I’m glad about, at least it won’t drag on into the New Year.
And meanwhile, enjoy Sweet Lady.
Elaine hope you are feeling on top of the world soon. Enjoy your holiday in Antigua and I will see you on your return. Take care.
