Tiger! Tiger!

According to Chinese astrology I was born in the Year of the Tiger, which might explain why I love them so.  One of the most amazing moments I experienced while leading singles’ holidays was seeing a tiger walking through the grass in the early morning light in India. Truly magnificent!

So, when I saw the footage of a baby tiger that’s been born in the zoo I gave a great big smile. Watching the huge mother lick him (or her apparently gender won’t be known for a few weeks) was a spine-tingling moment and in a week when human mothers have been in the news for cruelty to their children beyond belief, the tigress showed how it should be done.  And although I had a short labour – three hours only – I still envied her her six minute birth!

I had an audition this afternoon for an online supermarket commercial and afterwards treated myself to afternoon tea in Selfridges. Because I’m worth it!  But unfortunately, I have to give Selfridges my Retailer’s Raspberry.  I ordered afternoon tea but as I don’t like tea asked to have decaf coffee instead. The waitress said ‘Certainly, madam’. But when it arrived it was one cup, that wasn’t even full. I queried why it wasn’t a pot of coffee as everyone else seemed to have a pot of tea and was told that coffee was an extra and that’s why you.only get a cup.

Mean or what???

And then I had to ask for a clean knife to cut my scone as I didn’t want to use the same one that I had cut my salmon roll with.  Not what I’d expected of such a store so RASPBERRY to them!

And it’s been other exciting week as far as the Play goes.  Nick has now set up Melabeauproductions Productions page on Facebook so please all visit it and like it. We’re going to be posting the progress of the production as it happens!  Exciting!
