KSW: My last holiday was in Peurto Pollensa in Majorca. It was fab girlie holiday, one of my friends has a lovely apartment there.
ES: What’s your favourite type of holiday?
KSW: I like a bit of R&R but love shops, sight seeing and lots of interesting restaurants.
ES: And your least favourite?
KSW: I least like sunbathing holidays and sitting by the pool…too boring for me.
ES: Where did you spend your best ever holiday and what made it so memorable?
KSW: My most memorable holiday was in Sorrento, Italy,…amazing food, sights, and the friendliest people in the world !
ES: Any holiday or travel disasters?
KSW: My worst holiday/travel disaster was being delayed for 5 hours with 2 young children, then boarding the plane in driving wind and rain, my passport went flying out of my hand across the runway ( luckily retrieved)..totally stressed already we had to land in another airport for the air crew to change..only to be kept on the plane on the runway for an hour in boiling heat without any water and my then young autistic son screaming he wanting to get off !!! Nightmare !
ES: Oh, that sounds dreadful! Tell us about a place you long to visit and the reasons why.
KSW: I long to visit New York for everything…sights, sounds, theatre, food, shops and the wonderful vibe.
ES: Who’s your favourite travelling companion(s) or do you prefer your own company?
KSW: I do enjoy an all girls holiday…lots of fun, no responsibilities and time to chill.
ES: Just between ourselves, Karen, have you ever had a holiday romance?
KSW: Never had a holiday romance….
ES: Really? How would you spend your dream twenty-four hours if you could travel to multiple, worldwide destinations with no travel restrictions?
KSW: I would of course spend time in New York then whizz over to Sydney in Australia, perhaps an afternoon in Tokyo and finished off with a night in Italy.
ES: Oh, take me with you, please! And finally, what tip or piece of advice would you give to holidaymakers and/or travellers?
KSW: Life is too short…no compromise…pick a holiday YOU want to go on don’t go somewhere you don’t want to be.
Very good advice, Karen! Thank you so much for being my guest today!
